ARTS AND CRAFTS

The girls have learned some valuable skills since moving to Ross River. One of these is learning how to sew with moose hide. Much of this sewing is done by hand. They have also learned how to do beautiful bead work. Naomi made these mukluks a couple of years ago. They are absolutely gorgeous.
Last year Hannah made these mitts for me. Now, their work has really improved. Naomi made these slippers for herself.

Hannah just finished making these mitts for herself. She used beaver fur on them. The green and white flowers are all beaded. (She also made the bread that is on the counter behind her.)

I just thought I would share these beautiful creations with you.
