LIFE IN THE NORTH

I went into Whitehorse a couple weeks ago and since I had the camera with me, I decided to take a couple pictures of the 5 hour drive.
This is typical of the scenery - trees and snow and not a lot else.The road travels alongside Little Salmon Lake. I always wish they had a barrier of somekind between the road and the lake, but alas, there is none.Then, we were on our way to work this morning and discovered these tracks across our driveway. Apparently a moose decided to cut through our yard. Too bad we didn't see it. Some of the elders think it was probably chased into town by a wolf. Brian cleaned up all the droppings it left on the driveway before I got out with my camera. Oh well!

FACING THE INEVITABLE

Yesterday while we were at school, some of the kids in Josh's class noticed something: Josh is taller than Brian! How this managed to happen without us noticing, I don't know. Apparently Josh is taking after my Dad.

10 THINGS I LIKE

10 things I like:

1. Marriage - I have one of the best, to the best guy ever. No complaints here.

2. Mozza cheese on pizza - I don't eat it often, but it is so delicious.

3. Money - this is just a given. Everyone like money. Just think of all the fabulous things you can do with it: Buy a new wardrobe, or go on a fantastic vacation.

4. Meeting new people - I always look forward to September when I get to meet any new staff at work. I just enjoy meeting people.

5. Making people happy - whether this involves giving people gifts, laughing with them, or just providing a listening ear.

6. M & M's - almond of course!

7. Mexican food - absolutely love it! I made chicken fajitas for supper last night - mmmmm.

8. Mark's Work Wearhouse socks - they make the best socks!

9. Mail - not bills, but I love getting stuff in the mail.

10. Massages - oh, how I would love to have a massage every week. So relaxing!

MY APOLOGIES

I've been so busy studying for my psychology exam that I haven't taken time for much else. Now that exam is behind me, I should be able to blog more often. No promises though.

NEWS FROM THE NORTH

I've been patiently waiting for something, anything really, to happen that was blog worthy. Well this week brought about some news-worthy events. Here they are:

First, I got my new laptop. Yay!!! Isn't it pretty? It came just in time for us to hook up to the internet so we could figure out how to fix our regular computer which was having major problems. But thanks to Brian's expertise all is back to normal again.

Second: Naomi let me take a picture of her with her boyfriend, Cory. He is a great guy and treats her like a princess. They are so happy together.

Third, Hannah and her boyfriend, Ben, entertained me at the dorms while we were waiting for Naomi to return from Atlin. He is also a really nice guy and just adores Hannah.

So, there you have it. Excitement all around.
